Homebound Into the Gulch
Herman Gulch Trail

This weekend I headed up to Georgetown to hike the Silver Dollar Lake Trail up Guanella Pass, only to find out the road was closed. So instead, a little further up I-70, I discovered Plan B, the Herman Gulch Trail. The trail is very scenic, and I suspect the wildflowers are amazing earlier in the season. The distance to Herman Lake is not too bad, but the first and final sections of the trail are quite steep.
